Subject: 301% Tax Increase

Sign me "Blipped". The news of a 301% tax increase got me & all I kept thinking about was the Planning Board thread here. ANSWERS! GOOD SUGGESTIONS! GOOD SENSE! Not so much screaming & spitting into the wind. So I mentioned it. Guess what. Empty space where my message was & a big cryptic admonition when I try to read the "Official Chatbox". What is this? Is City Hall running THAT now? Do I wonder!

Meanwhile the nostalgia shows up in a group that only about 10 years ago wanted nothing to do with history. Most of that elitist murder of old crows had no history here & rolled into town to scarf up the few remains of old Hudson Valley grandeur. No different from the new developers of today.

WHO's been voting in the same old seat warmers in City Hall? WHO's been benefitting from keeping them in there? WHO's been benefitting from cheap real estate while basking in the status of "Tax Exempt"? WHO's building new around town?

My taxes, ALL 301% are paying public salaries AND THEIR UNION DUES! OK? I'M PAYING SOMEBODY ELSE'S UNION DUES while those Unions are strapping MY city with high cost demands & contracts. BUT NOTHING is being done to increase the TAXPAYING base! People are moving out & leaving more nothing behind. I don't mind investing in this place but I'm not seeing where my investments are going. Hello?

If you want to see me vote with my "hotdog", maybe I'll bring it to the City Council meeting & leave it on the floor. "Hotdogs Down" to you! The original Tea Party was in response to over burdening taxes. Maybe I'll leave my teabag with my hotdog. Then Bello's private DPW can clean up the place & the Unions can sip tea & put the hotdogs where they belong.

I'll be out of here WAY BEFORE I'll pay 301% MORE TAXES & be silenced by some petty bunch of BULL'S BALLS IDIOTS!
