Subject: SHUT UP! GET OUT! Council to silence citizens.

I think our Deputy Mayor is showing signs of the aging process. Maybe it's time for the pastures?

Mr. Gabor is outraged at the prospect of being silenced. What goes around comes around. It's the Council version of delete & block.

Ms. Bello, if sincere, made a fine point but empathy would be a better trait of our Council than sympathy. I await action & no more words.

It feels like being trapped lately. Our properties are almost worthless. There's nothing attractive about Newburgh any more. Not even our government who openly tells, not merely invites us to leave town. They know many of us would if we had the opportunity. How many already have? And it goes back almost 30 years since people started leaving. Almost 40 years since that government turned the business district into rubble. Now we're trapped with the prospect of 300% tax increases. Yet we're expected to be ladies & gentlemen in silent agreement at Council meetings.

Well the Council got voted in by elections. Let's remember that.

Maybe by silencing the Council meetings we'll better appreciate places like this forum where delete & block isn't the order of the day & nobody's being told to shut up & get out. And it's not the selective press where the comments and participants get edited in the interest of revenue or special interests.

That said, the question is: Where do we go from here?
