我也認為，語文老師除了要"教語文"外，最重要的還是教學生"怎樣去學語文"，這才是令學生畢生受用的。因為語文學習是無止景的，每天一兩小時的語文課也教不了這麼多。真遺撼沒有機會上過您的中文課。如果您是我以前的中文老師的話我想我一定可以學得很多中文知識和學中文的方法。

前輩說的都很有道理呢！尤其是練好普通話和邏輯思維兩點。我會在這兩方面下苦工。

看您說起簡潔行文，我不其然想到英作家 George Orwell 定下的六條寫文章的法則。

1. Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.

2. Never use a long word where a short one will do.

3. If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.

4. Never use the passive where you can use the active.

5. Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word, or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent.

6. Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous.

其中第二，第三和第四條和前輩所說的有異曲同工之妙！

但看來要練好文筆，還要靠多讀多寫。我知道只靠多寫是不夠的，還要汲取良好的 "養份"。我很想練得一手流暢幽雅的論說文筆，但我不太清楚可以讀些甚麼。經濟學家張五常說要練好文筆或"文氣"就一定要背誦古文，不知前輩對此有甚麼看法? 還有，如果想學寫論說文，前輩認為甚麼作家是最值得讀的呢?
