【東方日報專訊】國際環保組織「綠色和平」研究發現，惠普手提電腦機殼中的溴化阻燃劑（BRFs）、鉛及聚氯乙烯（PVC）等有毒物質含量最高，其中溴化阻燃劑「聚溴二苯醚（PBDEs）」含量更超出歐
盟規定濃度不高於百分之零點一的標準，批評惠普違背承諾及誤導公眾。惠普回應稱所有產品自七月一日歐盟(相關新聞 - 網站)規定生效起已符合標準。

綠色和平於三月委託丹麥一間獨立化驗所，驗測當地ACER、蘋果、戴爾、惠普和新力各一款手提電腦的有害物質含量，其中溴化阻燃劑檢測顯示，惠普、蘋果及ACER電腦的散熱風扇裝置都含有聚溴二苯醚，惠普Pavilion dv4000系列dv4357EA手提電腦的濃度更高達百分之零點一六五，是唯一被驗出含有毒重金屬鉛樣本。

惠普香港發言人回應指，有關研究並非驗測最新型號的手提電腦。

焚化釋放二噁英

惠普自今年七月一日歐盟「限用有害物質指令」（RoHS）生效起，全線新產品的溴化阻燃劑及鉛含量均符合歐盟標準，更期望今年底以後推出的全線產品會全面停用。

溴化阻燃劑可積存於人體內，干擾甲狀腺素及性賀爾蒙，妨礙大腦及骨骼發育，焚化時更會釋放二噁英及呼喃等高度致癌物質；人體內重金屬鉛含量超標，則可破壞腎臟、神經、血液及生殖系統。
