] Date Posted: 21:05:14 04/22/13 Mon Author Host/IP: 71-80-156-6.dhcp.mdfd.or.charter.com/71.80.156.6 If a girl is a current title holder in on format can she compete at a different level locally? Say the girl is (and I'm using this as an example not as reality) Miss NY Outstanding Teen and let's say her state pageant is in June. Let's say her local MISS pageant is accepting girls for the MISS program in July but they close applications in May (before she gives up her state title). Is it fair for the local board to allow her to compete in July despite the fact she didn't go through the same application process as the other girls competing? She is after all a CURRENT yet OUTGOING title holder for two years. She can't participate in the photo shoot for contestants in May, she can't participate in the local events as a contestant before June when she gives up her crown so is it fair to the other contestants or is the local board setting it up for her to win? It's a good question and I'm not sure how that works especially in the teen program. Seems like every other girl is Miss All American Girl or Little Miss whatever. Love brittney brown but she was miss Kingston while participation in 99.9% of all the miss west sound teen stuff. Personally I think it's a stupid rule. >If a girl is a current title holder in on format can >she compete at a different level locally? > >Say the girl is (and I'm using this as an example not >as reality) Miss NY Outstanding Teen and let's say her >state pageant is in June. And the kiddie pageants in this state are just becoming a joke. 50 kids that all win a title, crown and wearing matching outfits? People were snickering at them. Although that could of been at their moms trying to be matchy matchy as well. The kid pageants in this state have gone so far downhill the past few years. its a joke. I don't want to give away too much info since my niece posted it on her FB wall (which is set to private). She's not sure if she wants to compete or just drop out, this is her first pageant in that area since moved there for college. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Brittney participated in community events as Miss Kingston, not as Miss West Sound's Outstanding teen. There's a difference and your statement is misleading. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

I think those are the rules. she can't run this year and I think that program has great integrity and if they make an exception and let her run I also have no problem with that because being flexible is important too. Stop worrying so much about another person. is this girl goign to beat you? yes. And that is beacuse you havelet this girl rent so much space in your head you can not think straight. if you spent half the time on you and not on her you would be golden. Your insecurities are showing through just in your posting. >so under another scenario... what if the titleholder >is Miss Washington's outstanding Teen and she wants to >run for Miss Tri Cities but she can't because her time >as Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen doesn't end in >time for the registration deadline etc... I posted what I posted because I am really a huge fan of Janae Calloway - I'm an old lady who volunteers and loves the girls. They don't rent space in my head they occupy space in my heart and I think she'll have to wait a year to compete at Miss Tri Cities, but I'd love it if she didn't have to wait [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
