Subject: Schenectady Student's Family Fundraiser (SUNDAY AFTERNOON)

Tara Strichman is a VERY active student at the Schenectady location. Her family has had some bad luck this past year. There is a fundraiser this Sunday, 3/1, in Clifton Park. PLEASE try to attend and do a performance to help these folks out. Let me know (209-2464 or this email address) or contact Maureen Strichman directly at thestrikes@verizon.net if you can make it. Read the information below regarding this family’s hardship and spread the word. The performance will be at 4pm (arrive at 3). Further info is available at tavernphoenix@aol.com

"The Charlton Tavern has been part of our family for over 40 years. My uncle, Bill Maloney, former AOH member, the owner, lost his courageous battle within one week of the horrible fire that burned his beloved 225 yr old tavern to the ground. His son, Michael Maloney, wants to rebuild and reconstruct the tavern, ASAP. It is his only source of income. St. Paddy's day was crazy there, they ran it like an Irish pub. Anyways, "Operation Phoenix" is the group of friends and family that is putting on the fundraiser this Sunday 3/01/09 12:00 to 8pm five bands, mostly Irish music, all the food you could possibly eat, free beer and wine, soda etc. There is also a silent auction with so many things you cannot imagine. The outpour from the community has been unbelievable with donations. If we could get some kids to come out and dance it would be great. I know a lot of people have been asking if there will be step dancers. It would be really special for the Maloney family. It is at the Clifton Park Elks. Maureen Strichman"
