Subject: Brazilian emections

I believe the results of this years Brazilian presidential election are going to be as expected, a fairly easily attained victory by Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. From what I have seen and heard it seems like all of the scandals from his past that shook up the Brazilian administration not long ago have been forgotten in favor of all the positive things that Lula has accomplished. I agree that he has done some great things for Brazil, like helping out the poor, but I don’t see Lula being able to completely solve Brazil’s economic problems. He has raised the economy but it seems to be to dependent on other places to stand up on its own.
I do, however, like the ideas of Heloisa Helena de Moares Carvalho. She is looking more to the future and hopes to see a happy, socialist Brazil in her lifetime, though she concedes it probably will not happen. I saw that she got kicked out of the Workers Party for not following their ideas but it looked like the reason her and some other members got kicked out was that they were too caring. I also agree with the idea of a socialist Brazil. It seems like the business and economical laws only favor the rich there and leave out the poor. If Brazil used socialism there would still be room to choose your own job and make your life better but you would be almost guaranteed a steady flow of money which is very much needed in the poor and rundown parts of Brazil.
