Right when I read your title I knew I was going to respond to you. I agree completely that it's hard to forgive your friends and to remain companions. I would like to say that I live by the quote "Do it once, shame on you. Do it twice, shame on me," but I don't. In high school I thought my friends were as good as they come. We would hang out, join the same acitivies, and take the same classes, but along the way they were not the nicest people towards me. Sometimes these friends would say that I'm fat, or ugly, or just flat out dumb. At that time I would just brush it off my shoulders and laugh. It was when I went off to college to find out that those girls were not my friends but just enemies using me to get to "better" places in life. Yes, I have the ocassional conversation to catch-up, but it's the friends I have now that make me realize that they are my true companions.
