I also get disgusted with the cut throat attitude of the directors who are just about their precious numbers and their wallet. You suckers paid a 125registration fee at Maries state, for what? A DVD!?!?! LMAO! That cost her all of what, 10-15 bucks? So where did the other 110 per contestant go? Just Curious, since that was almost 3500 bucks she collected just in "registration". Then, if you go and check out the PPW, Assuming you have the earliest deadline, the entire pageant still cost $550 per contestant, and that is again, assuming you either had the Supreme Package paid, or hit the earliest deadline. Plus, a $20 dollar door badge, which was not included in the "registration" fee. $550 per contestant times 30 is $16500, and after deducting: $1000 ballroom (don't let these directors trick you into thinking they are 3000, they're NOT) $1500 in crowns (This is a VERY high estimate, but let's give ol Marie some slack, shall we?) $400 in sashes $150 in plaques, plates, ect. $2700 in cash paid to winners $400 in judges/Tabulator Look on your face when your DD didn't win, and YOU financed this whole pageant, PRICELESS!! So, this thing cost her about $6100 to put on, and she took in over $16,500, again, assuming you ALL got either fees off or the early deadline. Looks like Marie pocketed somewhere in the neighborhood of $10,000-$11,000 bucks. Merry Christmas.....TO HER!!!!!! Of course she could give what you perceive to be alot of bond money, because she probably took a very nice vacation with the other 10-11,000 she pocketed. Oh, and stay tuned for her graddaughter's new pageant wardrobe and photos, because I am sure she will be competing at alot of pageants coming up, courtesy of YOU! Maybe she should have kicked down a little more cash to those winners. I don't expect directors to work for free, but come on. She made out on this deal, so let's call it what it is, and she will continue to bash any director who threatens her little cash cow. I have thought about starting a system in this area for a while, but the directors will continue to try and drive out anyone who may affect their wallets. But, the point of this whole novel is that after adding this whole thing up, combined with what I heard at her pageant, I suppose Marie is just trying to get rid of another director who may affect her rather fat bottom line.
