Subject: There is not always COI with every title, but I have seen it. I also know what I heard at the pageant, so that truned me off a little. I, for one, WANT new directors and new systems. Now, I was AT this years pageant, and watched just about the whole thing. Most contestants entered everything, and I am sure there were plenty that did not get the earliest deadline, or fees off of any kind, so I am sure there was someone who paid MORE than 550 to offset your 300. I don't expect directors to work for free either, unlike some of you, but before you all go on and on about how much a certain director gave in bonds, stop to consider that YOU all paid for that in JUST the registration fee, with lots of money left over.

In reply to: 's message, "Well, About Ms. Marie, we attended her state last year, got the earliest early bird, and did two additional overalls. (No, I did not do everything on the paperwork.) We paid the $100 dep. (Free Supreme Package by entering early) and then $150 for the two other overalls...then 2 door badges, total it all and I spent about $300 on fees. Yes, my daughter did win, so we got back $150. But I can assure you that there was ABSOLUTELY NO COI. The lady didn't know me or my child, had never even met us. I really don't think you should try to turn the tables on Mrs. Marie. She runs a good system, and always PAYS her money. And, so what if she does make a little money off of a pageant. I"m not stupid enough to think it's not a BUSINESS. Why else would anyone want to direct a pageant, if they didn't think they could make some money. I know I like to get paid for the job I do. Don't you?" on 14:09:06 08/21/07 Tue

It's like you all don't consider it part of the actual registration fee or something. I am not turning the tables on anyone. We couldn't compete at Maries pageant due to the dress thing, and after hearing her talk about the new director, plus giving me attitiude for asking about the other state, I have a whole new take on Marie. I have been around in pageants a long time, and you see directors talk bad about other directors all the time and try to run them out to keep their own pageants bigger, and it is obvious that is going on here too. I would rather have more options. (NT)Anonymous14:31:57 08/21/07 Tue
