St. Lucia - Miss Cathy Daniel who represented saint Lucia at the Miss Earth Pageant held in Manila, in the Philippines on 26th November 2006 placed 15 among a total of 112 contestants from around the world.

The pageant which is in its sixth year was all about preserving, protecting and respecting our environment. The theme of the pageant was "Beauties For A Cause." Segments of the pageant included national wear, talent, long gown and swim wear. Cathy said she was in shock when the judges said "Miss Saint Lucia come on down." Now that Cathy is back on the island she is expecting to do interviews and take environmental lessons islandwide at all levels.
