It will be another 18 months of endorsing the Calayan Surgicenter for Ruffa Gutierrez, who is also coming up with her own line of skin products soon.

"The Calayans give me personalized service whenever I go to their clinic in the afternoons to avoid the long line of patients," says Ruffa.

"It’s my first time to endorse something like this," she adds.

The feeling of goodwill is mutual. The Calayan couple, Drs. Manny and Pie, like Ruffa as friend, client and endorser because she is "obedient."

Ruffa doesn’t hide her plan of getting a tummy tuck if and when she gives birth to a planned third baby (after Venice and Lorin by husband Yilmaz Bektas) next year.

"I hope it will be a boy this time," she says.

Ruffa says motherhood is no excuse for neglecting one’s looks. Neither must marriage keep a woman from earning her own keep.

Thus, Ruffa’s upcoming business, to be launched in the Philippines with a branch in Turkey, her homebase, will give her more financial independence.

"I can very well support my children if I have to," she says.

Yilmaz has gotten over his fear about being written about in the papers and is coming over for a visit this year, adds Ruffa. And, contrary to what most people think, men in Turkey can’t just marry more than one woman just because they’re Muslim, she goes on. They have to divorce the first wife first.

And Ruffa feels very secure about her place in Yilmaz’s heart.

"He sends me sweet text messages, now that I’m here in the Philippines," she says.

Ruffa will be visible in billboards all over Metro Manila, in print ads and TV spots because of her newest endorsement. – Maridol Rañoa-Bismark

11/27 - Miss Slovak Rpublic is the new Miss Bikini International

Humen, China - Not even the bad weather got in the way of the great show that was the final of the 33rd edition of Miss Bikini International. In the end it was Miss Slovak Republic, Julia Lipyakoba, who walked away with the crown, sash and USD 10,000-cash prize. "I am very proud and want to dedicate this title to my country", she told the press minutes after being crowned Miss Bikini International 2006.

The 1st runner-up was Miss China, Yang Lei, the hometown girl and crowd favorite. Miss Finland, Miriam Tulppo, was the 2nd runner-up, Miss Czech Republic, Petra Cubonova, was the 3rd runner-up, and pageant veteran, Argentina's Daniela Stucan, was the 4th runner-up.


The group of 15 semi-finalists, in ranking order, was completed by:

I saw the announcement of winners in TV PATROL today. Miss Chile thought Miss India won. Amruta looks very disappointed about the result. Congrats to Miss Philippines. I know a lot of people are raising their eyebrows and calling all filipinos as CHEATERS... A lot of beauty pageants held in their respective countries and their representative won the major title.. It is not fair for anybody to call you as cheater. If you want your country win a major title,Go on and create your own beauty pageant.

As a debutante in beauty pageant but a seasoned model

she wowed the press and the judges in the swimsuit preliminaries making it to the top 15!


She has been active throughout the pageant making friends!


But most importantly she TRULY cares for the environment, making headlines in Tanzania by her projects including an ambitious ENO tree planting project where she planted trees at one of the city's busiest bus stand in Mwenge. She managed to involve students and even politicians in her project!
