I quite agree, Bryan. And Germaine Greer had a good point to make about that: She claims that by making women believe violence is the answer to their safety, they're merely buying into the violence of patriachy that makes it so shit in the first place. Although this theory might not have much validity in real life, it's a lovely sentiment.
