Contestants are judged on Scholastic Achievement, School Involvement, Leadership, Poise, Extra-Curricular Activities, Personality, and Appearance. There is no swimsuit or talent competition.

This program is produced by the California Scholarship Foundation and Danfranc Productions, one of America's leading special event production companies for almost three decades.

In 1996 Danfranc Productions and the California Scholarship Foundation won a World Achievement Award for Best State Pageant, for the 1996 Miss Teenage California Scholarship Program.

In 1997 Danfranc Productions won two more World Achievement Awards. Best Service Organization and Best Talent Competition, for its annual California Teen Vocal Championships.

In 1997 its founder, Frank Lameira was inducted into the prestigious Performing Arts Hall of Fame, to join artists like entertainer Reba McIntyre, Bob Barker, Producer Sid Smith, and many, many others!

Many of our past winners from the Miss Teenage California Program are now attending some of the best colleges and universities in the nation, like Harvard, Dartmouth, U.S.C., UC Davis, Univ. of California, Georgia Tech, and the list goes on and on!

Winners have appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Seventeen Magazine, Teen Magazine, Parade Magazine, Pageantry Magazine and Pageant Life Magazine.

All special events are supervised by an excellent and experienced staff of adults, who keep the participants in a safe environment during their stay. We are proud to say that in the 27 previous state pageants, no contestant has ever been disqualified for poor behavior. This program attracts the best and brightest young women in the state!

Remember, no previous experience is necessary! You will learn how everything you need to know at the pageant rehearsals over pageant weekend.
