Greetings from London! I was a runner up in the late 90's and my experience was totally positive. I was just a high school sophomore when I entered, and received scholarship funds which helped me through college. I am now involved in real estate in London, England where I have lived for the past three years. I look back on my memories at Miss Teenage California, as one of the best in my teen years. I would like to wish all of you girls the best of luck. Don't be shy. This was my first pageant and I loved every minute. Good luck, and God Bless you all.

As a former contestant my memories at Miss Teenage California were the best! I stayed at a first class hotel, had wonderful meals, met some of the nicest girls in the state, and at the same time competed for the best teen title in the state. I'd do it again, but unfortunately I'm too old now. All the best girls!

I'm not going to wait until the last minute to get sponsors. I had a friend who was going to participate last year and waited until the last minute. She ended up not competing. I'm going to ask family first, then friends and businesses. -- excited!, 12:39:27 09/29/06 Fri [1]

My best friends sister was a runner up a few years ago. She won a $4,000 scholarship. She was a Junior in high school. Now she is attending UC Davis and going to be a veterinarian. She also said not to many "pageanty types." More regular girls who are good students, attractive, and planning to go to college. That's me! Hope to see you all there in L.A. -- Tricia, 12:57:31 09/29/06 Fri [1]

Miss Teenage California has the best prizes, I agree. I also like the fact that they are looking for girls who are involved in school and community, and not just a pretty face. -- Star, 14:39:51 09/30/06 Sat [1]

Hi everyone, I just got two sponsors today. Girls take my advice. Don't give up because a few say no. Keep on trying My family is my main sponsor, and my grandparents have donated too. Today I got a restaurant our family goes to and a hair salon. Just believe in yourself, be prepared. The experience is not expensive compared to others. My sister had to raise $3,000 to go to Washington D.C. for a youth conference, with no opportunity to win a thing She had fun, and now she wants to enter the pageant too. -- Deborah, 09:12:47 02/10/07 Sat [1]
