You made a very good point. There are many young women competing this year who would make a great Miss Wisconsin.
However, just like it is at the local level, the judges must keep in mind who has the best shot of doing well at the next level. It is really a two-fold responsibility for the judges.
IMO, there are just several contestants who wouldn't get lost in the shuffle at Miss America.
