AEROSMITH

TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM HONKIN' ON BOBO
THIS TUESDAY, MARCH 30th, 2004

Band Currently Touring US & Canada in Support of the Album

Boston, MA- March 24, 2004-Aerosmith will release their highly anticipated
new album, Honkin' On Bobo (Columbia Records), this coming Tuesday, March
30th, 2004. Recorded in Joe Perry's basement studio, The Boneyard, with
additional recording done at Steven Tyler's studio the Bryer Patch and mixed
at the band's studio Pandora's Box in Massachusetts. The release finds
Aerosmith returning to their roots with an album that highlights their
connection to blues and roots music. Honkin' On Bobo features Aerosmith
covering a diverse collection of classic blues/roots songs done in true
Aerosmith-style. The album will also feature a new original Aerosmith song
entitled "The Grind." The album is Aerosmith's first new release since
2001's Just Push Play.

"Rather than try and pigeonhole or categorize the album, we'd just like to
think of it as the new Aerosmith album," said Joe Perry. "Our fans have
always said, 'We love your new music but when are you going to make a record
that sounds like your old stuff?' In order to do that, we figured the blues
was the best place to start, as it has always been a major influence on us.
However, we can't play the blues without rockin' so turn it up!"

Adds Steven Tyler, "We didn't record a blues album, we recorded an Aerosmith
album. Everything Aerosmith has ever done has been influenced by the blues.
This time around, we just brought the influence a little closer to the
surface."

The release of Honkin' On Bobo begins a remarkable new chapter in
Aerosmith's 30+ year recording career. With over 20 album releases and more
than 100 million albums sold worldwide, the band has spearheaded some of the
most important trends in popular music, making them one of the most
continuously exciting forces in American rock music. Honkin' On Bobo sees
the band emerging with an album that captures the raw energy and raucous
brand of rock 'n' roll for which Aerosmith is known. Produced by Steven
Tyler, Joe Perry and Jack Douglas (with additional production by Marti
Frederiksen), the album's 12 tracks, including such classics as "Baby Please
Don't Go," "Eyesight To The Blind" and "Road Runner," encapsulates the
classic Aerosmith sound that has set the tone for generations of rock music.
