The people of bucolic Missoula, the famous "Garden City" of Montana had a very big problem. Local residents were reporting a steady increase in bad days. The solution? City leaders invited R.E.M. and Wilco to perform in their town on August 31, and provided a free live stream of the concert on the Internet.

Results were so favorable, and subsequent days so good, that the people of Missoula have decided to post the concert recording for everyone to hear. Experts predict such a move could result in a 17 to 23% increase of good days nationwide.
