Prism Theory to perform 3 FYE in-stores to promote In the Wake of a Dream

Cleveland, October 17. Akron-based Latticesphere recording artist Prism Theory will be performing three in-store shows at Ohio FYE locations in the coming weeks. The first will be Saturday, October 25 at the FYE at Summit Mall in Akron. There are also performances at FYE in the Great Lakes Mall in Mentor on November 8 and at Colony Square Mall in Zanesville on November 15. All shows are from 2:00-4:00 p.m., admission is free, and the shows are to promote Prism Theorys recent CD release, In the Wake of a Dream.

Prism Theory is a heavy rock band that likes to take their listeners on an emotional ride, one that enables those listeners to feel what mood the band is conveying with each song. There are driving guitars and thundering rhythms that back lead vocalist Chris Imlays dark and soulful melodies. Add some soaring vocal harmonies and youve got a sound that is as powerful as it is unique. Our vision is to create music in the same way that a prism separates white light into the entire spectrum, says Imlay. The same way that blue can make you feel melancholy, or red can symbolize angry emotions, but when put together you get one whole unit.

Together as a band since 2001, Prism Theorys members were influenced in their formative years by groups like Tool, Rush and Dream Theater. Currently Prism Theory most closely resembles modern alternative rockers such as Sevendust, Pantera and Korn. Since releasing In the Wake of a Dream in April 2003, Prism Theory has been on WDUBs Top 100, was a finalist in contests on WMMS 100.7 and 92.3 Xtreme Radio and have signed a regional distribution deal with the BCD Music Group for placement in FYE stores. Armed with that distribution deal and a new media campaign, Latticesphere Records plans to penetrate new markets for Prism Theory beyond Northern and Central Ohio.
