Yes, I love the lightning whelks - we found some unoccupied ones with very nice dark coloring (did I already mention that?)....Yes, I am from Seattle. If you are up in this area again, and your Grandson likes waterfalls, you MUST go down to Silver Falls State Park in Oregon - about 1 hr SE of Portland. I went there this summer - it's a huge area with 10 waterfalls, 4 of which you can walk behind. It was simply magnificent, and if you guys really like waterfalls, you will be in heaven. Also, not far from there is a place where you can sleep in a teepee ($15). I'm 34 yrs old, but my friend and I had a really fun great time sleeping in the teepee.
