Subject: Sanibel shelling

Coming to Sanibel early Sept. I have a couple questions here.... Are sand dollars easy to find this time of the year and where is the best beach to find them? Is snorkeling for shells an option this time of year? I understand that the moon phase and low tide has alot to do with how well the shelling is! From what I've read you can find smaller shells in more abundance towards the lighthouse and larger shells toward the north side of the island. Does this still hold true this time of year? I would appreciate any info! Thanks
