Kidd & team -
I am horrified.... not because it is Halloween, but, because I no longer have you to listen to as I get ready for work, on my way to work, and after I arrive at work here in Memphis.
What the heck???!?!?!?!?!?!
I new the radio station went bonkers over the weekend -- I didn't really care because the 80's weekends aren't my favorite part of 94.1 The Buzz. However, I had a gnawing feeling that something terrible was about to happen but I didn't want to believe it.
On Monday when I woke up and turned on the radio and the 'countdown' on 94.1 was down to a few hours, I thought, okay - it's some weird FCC thing and you'll be on tomorrow morning. I was still trusting that my world would not - could not - be turned upside down. But, on Tuesday morning when I turned on the radio and heard a new 'name'... what is it? Snap? And I didn't hear the normal pop music and WORSE YET... No Kidd, (Kelly) and Al - my heart truly sunk!
I am a normal, sane, professional female. I relocated here about a year ago and my daughter (who lives in Wichita) turned me on to all of you when you went live here last year. I fell in love with your show and have listened to you every day (with the exception of the few days at a time that I travel for work and can't locate you in the small towns I travel to.)
I went to the Memphis in May music fest,,, just to see you all and you were great!
I absolutely adore Big Al and would love to hang out with him.... what a fun and silly guy!
You all make my day - make me laugh - and truly lightened an otherwise pretty somber and serious job I find myself performing day in and day out.
You had become my family and friends in this new 'home' for me and now you are gone. I am so very sad!
I'll listen on the computer while I get read for work and turn y'all on when I get to work... I'll plug in one of my CD's on the way to work because there is absolutely no other station worth listening to in Memphis now (I tried the search button today over lunch and found absolutely nothing of interest music-wise.)
So.... keep us posted.
I am seriously considering relocating to Dallas in the hopes that you will not be canceled in your 'home' city! Ha! :O)
