Subject: Dark Question For 3/31

The transition from human to vampire can happen in a matter of weeks on a physical level. Biologically, it is just enough time for the body to die completely and then be reborn into darkness. And that, while a very painful experience indeed...is the 'easy' part.

Mentally...it can take a vampire MUCH longer to adapt to this new lifestye away from the sun. Once born into darkness...killing for food becomes necessary. But how is that different from eating a cheeseburger or chicken breast?

The question this week is....if you were one of us, forced to murder people to feed, forced to fight to protect your vampire friends in darkness, forced to live in the shadows...shunned by the rest of society...

How long do you think you could hold on to what you consider to be....your 'humanity'? How long could you still be 'you'? When forced to survive in savage times, we often become savages ourselves.

How many days, months, years, would it take...before you looked in the mirror and didn't recognize the reflection any more?

Let us know....
