- The marks are tattoos, so they'd probably be a permanent protection. I suppose you could have a pattern, that gets added to every so often, so people have to get it updated to stay protected. I can't say I'd approve of them, but on the other hand I'm not a vampire. From their perspective, it makes sense to protect those who can be of use.
