Actually, it's a question that I thought very little about a long time ago, and never really filled out a certain 'plan' for that idea.

Certain parts of it are really appealing in terms of building a mythology around the idea. Like what would the offspring of a human and a vampire be like? Would it go to one side or the other, or maybe contain properties of both species? Would it be able to walk in daylight? Would it be able to read minds? Maybe it would be stronger than both species put together, who knows?

Then again, it would take some explaining, also. Like...would a vampire be able to impregnate a human woman with child? And if so, would that woman have to consume blood in order to feed it? And there's the problem of the fetus actually being able to grow and age in the womb. Because vampires are genetically stuck at the same age and regenerate every time they go to sleep. So would the fetus be....a vampire that ages naturally? Or would that change once it was actually born?

And if a human impregnated a vampire, and the child was more human than vampire, could it survive the sleep cycle process? (Where the vampire's body ceases to generate heat, or breathe, for that matter) Would a woman's stomach grow to support a growing child if she reverted back to her normal form everytime she woke up? And would she have to bear the sickness of eating normal food just to keep the child fed?

Hehehe, I know...circles, right? :) Honestly, it's something that I thought about, but never realy created a series of rules for, because it conflicted with the rules already set in place, no matter which way I approached it. If anybody could work out the 'mathematics' of it all and write a story about it...I'd be HIGHLY interested to see how they worked everything out! :)
