There's a big difference the way Verzpertillio was once spoken depending on WHO spoke it. Most Vampires TODAY don't even know Verzpertillio exists, especially the younger generations of 'halflifes', like Justin and everyone in the lot. BUT, ancient Vampires, even the halflifes back then, they knew and spoke Verzpertillio, and there was a great difference the way Elders would speak it, and halflifes would have spoken it all those centuries ago.

Of course, the Elders are still around, and from what I know, they may still speak it as eloquently as it has ever been spoken. But mostly they preserve the language, and they tend to it as one of their few prized artifacts from the past; a token of their culture.

" prestario " is greetings in Verzpertillio, and it is the formal way of saying hello. You would expect an Elder to have greeted you like this.

But halflifes back then had their own way of saying hello, much as younger people today say hello, as opposed to. . . two 'business associates'.

" 'terio " was the shortened version of greetings among halflifes. And this was used by halflifes during ancient times much as today young people say "hey" or "hi" as opposed to "hello".

BUT:

" adero " was the most popular word among ancient halflifes for greetings.

" hadero " was another variation with spelling, though in Verzpertillio you don't pronounce the 'h', so it still comes out sounding like the first one.

So I suppose halflifes today, if they were to 'stumble' upon Verzpertillio and discover its secrets, they would use " 'terio " or " adero " as their way of saying hello.

The same thing with goodbye " virtemtio ", a halflife would use " virti ".

But from what I can gather Comsie, Verzpertillio isn't something most Elders want the general Vampire population to know about anyway. It's such a 'perfect' way of communicating in the shadows for them. . .
