I'm not immortal and I'm already losing my zest for life. There are still a million and one things I haven't done. But realistically, I probably never will be able to. Try as I might...

So I don't think I'd last long unless I found something in the darkness that I can't find in the light.

This my sound cheesy, but the one thing I've always searched for, and never found, is a partner. I've had many lovers, but never a soul that I could say is my partner. That one person who'll be there forever, no matter what. That one person who loves me as much as I love them. That one person whose smile lights up my entire day. Naturally, I've fallen in love with people, but for whatever reasons, they couldn't return that love. I've met people with that special smile, but they turned out to be hetero. I once found a guy that actually knew how to kiss properly. But again, it didn't work out.

So if I could find all that in the darkness, I'd gladly cross over and find out what eternity really is. Because as it stands, the light holds little fascination for me anymore.
