I agree with you that since Comicality is covered in shadow, it would be more of a voice.I imagine the voice should be raspy, and that's how I hear his voice in my head when I read it.Being covered in shadow gives him an air of mystery, so his voice should reflect that.I don't know how you feel about this particular actor, but I think Alec Baldwin's voice would be perfect.
