Subject: modeling in 3yr olds

Seriously, what type of modeling is expected from a three yr old? I know some people spend every weekend with a coach to get their 3yr to do all the modeling older girls do but, to me, that looks over coached and unnatural. I think those kids dont look like they are naturally having fun. What is the standard for 3yr olds that is expected across the board?

[> so you mean like a back t or front t? I taught her toe pops, pretty hands and feet, cutesy stuff, turn to show her back and look over her shoulder, and to kinda bounce/shake in swim but the girl has no butt and no chance of bouncing it.lol. I am trying to teach her to "walk a circle" for beauty but it looks more like a trapazoid. lol -- No name, 15:29:57 02/10/07 Sat [1]

[> [> back T (ie 3 back Xs, 1 front): when at home set up her stuffed animals/dolls in a circle and have her walk to each one in order, then take 1 toy away each time (like a game!), don't actually have her shake her butt in swim - it's a body bounce (tell her to bounce her curls) -- No name, 15:46:58 02/10/07 Sat [1]

[> Modeling -- judge, 12:27:44 02/11/07 Sun [1]

At 3 years old, modeling is a MUST. No, I don't want to see a child that looks "programmed" but you can teach your child step-step turns, step backs, toe pops, etc. AND stress the importance of having FUN. You can tell a child that wants to be up there modeling and is having a ball doing it versus a child that is made to do it and looks programmed. You as a mom have to make practicing fun for them. After all they are just little ones. They learn the best when they are having fun at what they are learning.
