WOULD THIS LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD?

FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN THE CLASS IS BEING DOMINATED BY JUST A FEW PEOPLE. HOW ABOUT JUST LEVELING THE PLAYING FIELD? IT IS ALOT EASIER TO ADD WEIGHT TO A CAR THAN IT IS TO TAKE IT OFF. WITHOUT HAVING THE SCALES SET UP AT EVERY EVENT THERE IS NO WAY TO CHECK VEHICLE WEIGHT. I ALSO THOUGHT THAT THIS CLASS WAS A WAY FOR THE POOR MAN TO GO HEADS UP RACING, AND BE COMPETITIVE? NOW IT SOUNDS MORE LIKE KING OF THE HILL ON 9" TIRES, WHERE DOES IT STOP?

I AM PRETTY SURE THAT MY STOCK GM BLOCK WILL NOT HANDLE THREE STAGES OF NITROUS. DOES THAT MEAN THAT I HAVE TO GO AND SPEND 2500 ON A BLOCK ALONE JUST SO I CAN BE COMPETITVE IN A POOR MANS HEADS UP CLASS?
