You took off after her, having no problems keeping up with her since she was in a dress. She glanced over at you as you neared her house.*~+~ Mika- We're being raided- the feral wyverns from the forests. ~+~*She skidded in through the door, and ran town to her room. You followed, and noted that she disregarded your presence as she quickly changed into traveling clothes. They were the closest thing she had to combat-ready gear. She ran back up to the stables and hopped on her Wyvern, instructing you to get on one of the others. It was, to your liking, a very large black one with its horns twisted forward. Neither wyvern went for the elevator- they literally hopped the wall back into the main room of the stable and flew upward through the stairwell and out through a a skylight over the main hall that had been moved aside already. This was apparently something that they planned for. Once in the air, you could see just how large the city truly was. Several square miles and beyond. The houses were all clearly visible- it was a wonder you got to them as fast as you did, but there was a straight line in bridges between each of them. Off in the distance, there was in fact ONE bridge connecting to land- but it was heavily fortified, and there were guards stationed all around it. You durected your attention back to the air. It was filled with wyverns- the crash had been one knocking an allied rider into one of the bridges. There were at least as many drow riders up in the air as there were enemy wyverns- you could see Kiri on her Salamander, which seemed a bit cold to you. She was only 12 and already out to fight. You noted that she wasn't the only person with a 'special' mount, either. There was a pure Water Elemental in the air in the distance, and about three Bone Wyverns up around you. It was surprizingly easy to balance on a Wyvern when it was moving- not so much when it hovered and its back half dropped down. You got used to it fairly quick, but made a mental note that you wouldn't want to be on one while trying to do any work that required accuracy at a distance. Kalin was apparently nearby, because you heard him speaking. You turned, and noted that he was on a wyvern of his own talking to Mika. His wyvern had freakishly long appendages- it's neck was much longer, as were its legs and tail. Even its wings- it didn't look like it should have been able to hover.*~+~ Kalin- They aren't attacking- they knocked one out of the air and they haven't made a move since. Mika- Do we know why? What the hell do they want? Kalin- We don't know- there's no queen in evidence. ~+~*She looked up at the hovering wyverns.
