Johnson felt he was wrongly accused by the Republicans at the time.The Republicans who owned slaves at the time lost money. The conspiracy theory was that they hired John Wilkes Boothe to assassinate Lincoln, and Impeached Johnson for helping Lincoln. They put in Legislation at the time to take power away from the President and put in a Puppet that they can control in Grant. Under Grant administration was so corrupt and also they did a genocide on the Native Americans. Custer was going to run for President against Grant and spill the beans about the corrupt Grant and his men. The Republicans and Grant at the time sent Custer to Little Big Horn to be massacre.
