Subject: Since nobody has been here (on-topic) for a while...

...maybe there are not that many who feel their "modesty" is "violated" while in a hospital.

I try to stay out of hospitals for other reasons. The condition some of those unfortunate souls are in--infection is in the air in there! But NONE of my reasons has the first thing to do with what-if-somebody-sees-me-naked?! If I wanted to be treated while staying fully clothed, I would be visiting a psychic-healer, not a hospital. If I wanted my clothing to be treated, I would be standing at the counter in other clothes, handing the affected clothing to a Cleaner or to a Tailor. If I'm in a clinic or in a hospital, I'm there for work on what's UNDER my clothes, and I have no shame about taking them off.

I *DO* have a problem with the care-providers going to any trouble to PROTECT the "modesty" I left outside when I came in. I would like the option of signing a waiver and having my records flagged, so they know it isn't an issue in my case. I would like that to be part of a 2-path triage and treatment, so the hyper-modest can have it their way (and I don't have it their way with them).

It's a popular anecdote (often as a horror-story on Voy boards) that some male was naked on an exam-table when a stranger in her street-clothes walked in--and the Doc or the Nurse told him: "it's-OK-she-works-here." I would like it marked on my record it's OK, even if it's some lady from Housekeeping and she gets the giggles while staring. It's OK--I'm the patient, so I can be naked in here and not mind it.

If I just offended the next real person to look in on this board--that wasn't my #1 reason for posting this. It just happens to be true about me. The modesty-angle here wasn't attracting many real visitors. Let's see what this does.

BTW it's good to see "Captcha" set here. Best regards, all.
