Subject: My Story
In reply to: Crevan 's message, "Oh, come on." on 07:22:21 12/01/01 Sat

Bren felt the weight of a hand on her shoulder. She looked over to see Crevan there. She really had held a grudge against him for to long, and instead of punching him or ignoring him like he expected, she took his hand in hers and gave it a light squeez. Her hand held onto his lightly while she started her story. **I was born, well, I don't know where I was born. All I remember is how I grew up. Pain and getting yelled at. That sums up the first 30 years of my life. I'm 97 now, I think. My trainer, Arva,** Bren shuttered, **was one of the best. She was good at what she did. It sounds corney, I know, but she was a master in the "art of pain." Now, so am I. I had to watch Arva kill my mother, take orders to kill my father, and then to becamoe a trainer I had to kill Arva. That's where I got this.** She pulled the Adgel from under her shirt with Ukatashi's pendent which Gener had lent to her a while ago. She pulled off the little deamons pendent and tossed it back to her. **This is what started all my life torment.**
Bren held the Adgel to the deck and gave the same demonstation to the crew as she gave to Ak'Hafta back at the inn. She told it to burn and it left a scortch mark in the deck. **Somewhere in that 30 years I was cursed for having the life I had, that's the only reason I can think of. I feel people's dreams and nightmares. Gives me one hell of a headache as you've already seen. After I killed, and yes I did kill, Arva, I ran and far. That's when I ran into Crevan, litterally. Big city, I needed work. Extracing
information wasn't the best choice of at emporary profesion. I was running from an assasin, and a damned good one at that, and Crevan hid me. He took me to his home, I needed a place to stay. His people accepted me. He married me, but I'm wasn't sure if it was out of love or out of sympathy.** She looked next to her at Crevan. **I think love. When I told him I was going to have a child, he fliped and left, or ran. I spent time with The People, that's what Crevans people are called, until Azira was born. After that, I left, leaving Azira with them till I could come back for her. I perchased a ship, got a good trading buisness started, then I had to go back for Azira. I
lent the ship to the fucking guild and that's where Yankira came in. When I got back to the city I left Azira with a friend so I could get the ship ready and a crew together. Little did I know that I already had one, thank the gods. Now we're here. That's it I guess.** She sighed and noticed she hadn't let go of Crevans hand. She didn't mind so much anymore. With a deep breath she said, **Besnell, I wnat you to go next. I need someone to make me feel better by knowing they probably had it worse than I did.**
