Besnell could hear the wizard, and he thought it unusual for someone like him, who no doubt had many enemies, to be out all alone in the dark streets. Dismissing his suspiscions, drawing his swords, and loading his wrist crossbow, he used his innate Drow abilities to call forth a globe of darkness over the human as he fired a poison tipped dart that would numb the humans muscles. Charging he slashed his target. Suddenly he felt an odd stinging sensation in his neck, and even as his sword met flesh it bounced off, and a searing line of pain lanced across his side and ribs. The damn wizard had a reflective spell! Even as the numbness spread down to his shoulder, and he felt the blood running down his side, the Drow dove behind nearby some crates for cover and hastily dug for the antidote to the poison.
