Lanski, still extremely angry, composed herself and shifted back into her human form. Very stifly she turned and walked out the door, determined to take a walk by herself, and to get away from Rayne. She shoved the door open and walked out into the cool night air. Fall was coming, the air tasted crip and smelled fragrant with dead leaves and nuts. Lanski began to enjoy her walk and tried to forget the embarrasment from only minutes before. She leaned on a little rail by a dock and looked over the sea, listening to the sound of the waves and the sailors preparing ship.
