During the creation of the original Cortes Island Community plan Mr Birkal made a motion.

"That no other persons be permited to come to Cortes Island" He demanded this be written in the Bylaws and OCP.

"Elmer" seconded the motion without hesitation. Conditional that the bylaw be retroactive to when Mr Birkel arrived on the island. Mr Birkel left the island shortly after.

Why are you here "Anonamouse" The Drawbridge mentality doesn't work. Others before you didn't want you to come. Your here and you want to keep others out? Using Missinformation and Bully tactics.

The Geoduck industry has been harvesting on Cortes Island for years. Thats a fact. Do you Know where the beaches are? A lease is something that can be controlled. Right now all beaches are open to Geoduck harvesting.

I don't speak for the oyster industry. I Have nothing to do with it.
But over the years I've watched hoards of others flee the island when they couldn't get their way and stop others from coming.

So where's your Income from. Did you apply for Public Permission to work/live/move here? Is it sustainable? If so According to Who? I'd like to know.

An Inquiring Mind
