i wonder if anyone is doing a survey on all the candidates' 'gay friendliness' for the upcoming LegCo election....

anyway, below is a timely reminder (written by gum gum) of the contribution 何秀蘭 made when she was in office.

各位追求平權和公義的同志朋友及支持者：

關於九月七日的立法會選舉，也釦A心裡已有所屬的候選人，我不是要來游說你改變主意，我只是希望諸位同志朋友及支持者，至少能有機會知道一段鮮為人知的同志平權「外史」。

2000年選舉，何秀蘭首次接觸同志朋友，簽署了同志立場書。當選後，在民政事務委員會之下成立了探討同志在公共政策所受岐視的小組委員會，請官員在醫療、房屋、教育、文化、稅務、刑事法等範圍講清楚對同志的不公平待遇。

2004 年，何秀蘭就《人體器官移植條例》作修訂，提出外地註冊的同性婚姻或伴侶關係在器官移植的生死關頭，可得到與異性婚姻的同等待遇，免因委員會審查誤時而失救。可惜當時只有何秀蘭、劉慧卿、李卓人、梁耀中、楊森，以及司徒華六票贊成，修訂未獲通過；只爭取到衛生福利局一紙文書確認特區政府一貫承認司法互助地區的法例，將來倘有外地註冊同性伴侶不幸須要移植器官，可作為免審查的理據。

何秀蘭一向支持同志平權，捍衛社會公義，推動民主，這是肯定的事實。至於以下一段，是何秀蘭競選團隊的呼籲，如果你已心有所屬，不用勉強自己讀下去，先謝謝你。

但如果你仍是持開放態度，那請容釦琣b此懇請各位仗義幫忙，廣傳訊息，用你的動員力量，以電話、電郵、短訊，聯絡居於港島的親友。你的一票，可以讓在立法會裡支持我們的那一票：何秀蘭，重返議會，讓社會公義、弱勢關懷在立法會重現。

雖然面對各大政黨排山倒海的選舉宣傳，何秀蘭的小組織（公民起動）吃力萬分，但民調顯示，何秀蘭在兩個民主大黨後守住泛民的第四位。即是說，她是有機會的，只要我們九月七日都不缺席，為何秀蘭，為同志和弱勢社群的福祉，投下一票。
