Big Ben is actually the bell inside of the clock tower. The actual tower that everyone commonly referred to as Big Ben is actually called the "Clock Tower of London".

Scotch - Single Malt is the only way to go. Might I suggest the very drink I let all of you taste at the SW in Vegas: Glenlivet. The higher ages are more expensive, but unless you truly know single malt scotches and can tell the difference, buying the higher numbers only shows that you are presumptuous.

Do you have any evidence (sales numbers, etc.) that would prove otherwise? Many times that paranoia can be cured with that. It isn't also a bad thing to ask for honest feedback from your boss as you become more comfortable with him. I am sorry to hear you are stressing about this, nonetheless.
