I suspect you may have fried your serial port on your PC. I did the same thing to mine, with a Vx. Vx's are infamous for causing electrostatic shocks which can fry ports, cables, you name it. Fortunately my PC was under warranty and Dell sent me a new mother board. To see if this is really the case, though you should try to hot sync on a different PC. This will rule out your cradle, cables, connectors, and handheld. If you can sync on another PC, then it is most likely your serial port. If you don't want to replace your serial port, you could get the PalmConnect USB kit which contains a USB to serial adapter. This way you can sync via your USB port.
