Subject: Understandably so. What judge wants to spend all that time and effort judging a competition, only to be told that their opinion doesn't count because it isn't completely in line with the majority? I can see that being a dis-incentive to adjudicating...
In reply to: oldtimer 's message, "They used to use the throw out the high and low system at Worlds; it's a long time ago & I'm old so I don't remember a lot of it, but I think there were 7 judges; tossing the high & low helps prevent blatant favoritism or grudges, but it can also hurt kids who genuinely impress one just more than others.
