Subject: Nutro Max caused my dog to get bad UTI and crystal

I fed Nutro Max to all three of my dogs for over a year now. They recently changed their formula of Nutro Max and put it out on the market in early Jan. 2008. This is when my greyhound started to experience drinking large amounts of water. In Feb. 08 she developed a horrible bladder infection. The vet bills were over $450 for this trip. The symptoms continued into March 08 while I continued to feed Nutro Max. My dog developed a worse bladder infection with struvite crystals in her urine. She now has to be on a Hills Diet s/d food in hopes that it clears up the problem. I trusted Nutro to provide quality safe food. Instead the are ignoring the issues that pet owners are posting about their products. I can assure them that Nutro caused my dogs health issues and will reinburse me for the vet bills. If your feeding Nutro Max and your dog starts to drink gallons of water, acts confused, has incontinence or not acting normal, STOP feeding Nutro and get to your vet. I will never feed this product again. Mars Company has decided it would be better to make a less quality food and put our pets at risk to make money. Shame on you Mars and Nutro --- does the lives of our pets matter to you?
