Yes, both of my parents smoke and also my grandmother who lives close by. As a kid, I was always fascinated watching my mom smoke; she has dreamy frenches and snaps. I thought it just looked like fun; and it was!

I confessed about my smoking to my parents when I was 15 because I was tired of sneaking around and wanted to be able to smoke everyday. They weren't thrilled, but as smokers, they couldn't say too much. Mom was more understanding than Dad since she started at 15 as well. They asked me to keep it under half a pack per day, which I did pretty much until I went to college.

I think I've been lucky because although I really love smoking, I haven't let it become the all-consuming force in my life. I still workout and stay active, and right now I'm comfortable with my 15-20 cigs per day.

Best wishes,

Rita
