For a very brief time, I thought Sunburst Beauty Pageant were a real thing and really about the contestants and an honest system. Just got back from Internationals in Atlanta, and boy was I ever WRONG!!! They didn't even give the FIRST place winner any flowers and talk about those "prizes" they claim that are so great....They are nothing more than Dollar Store toys. Trophies are generic and cheap, and lets not forget how important those Ads are for them. They take an extra step here and "engrave their names" on the ones that sells 5 pages or more. They give 6feet trophies for this, but the runner up in beauty title gets a cheap 3feet trophy>>>>what a joke. They spend more time in spotlight Ad Sellers because these are the people that are making their home mortgages. Thats how the director affords over a million dollar home, because of us ignorant parents (this includes me) that think we are doing this for our kids. Oh, and talk about supermodel search with rules on "NO MAKEUP only judged on NATURAL BEAUTY"...at national level these rules don't count because the winners in almost all age groups had caked on makeup on their kids. My suggest, find a more honest pageant, unless you got money to support someone else.
