  - The people that were upset were the ones that didn't win or didn't win what they wanted to. Come on though. Everyone wants a DDA title and not everyone there can get one. (NT) -- This pageant really is about the kids. The adults need to back off and let the kids enjoy the weekend if you are truly in it for the kids you will have you daughter there., 11:17:13 05/21/07 Mon
  - I missed all that drama well this year there are 3 levels one supreme novice 250 or under then its pro 251 and super pro or something like that but there three Hoping my daughter gets the novice supreme or darling Baby will be happy with any title really. (NT) -- Jennifer, 21:58:56 05/21/07 Mon
- This is what really upsets me. My daughter worked very hard for DDA last year and would have gladly taken any title she could get. Of course she did not win anything (even though she did her best, the others were just better and she understands that). We did not start bad mouthing the system because she did not win. We have worked since and will go back and try again. We have tried to improve on the areas we needed to and she will try again. It is still her favorite system. (NT) -- But to see how some of the parents acted at crowning last year. You would think they were in kindergarten. Grow up ladies. Is this not for your children? - You always have those who are just not happy if they don't win a BIG title. Wish they could know how it feels to try and try and and work and work and still not have one of those awesome crowns yet. - I'm really surprised that DDA is doing this. However, I know they have lots of expenses because they try harder than anyone to make their pageant all about the kids and to make it the greatest pageant experience ever. That said, if directors would stop taking entries after deadlines, or at the very least charge a penalty of say, $200.00 (which is equal the the discount people who paid early got), this nonsense would stop. Directors shouln't have to lose sleep over if they are going to be able to cover expenses. Too many people want to wait to the last minute to see if the numbers might be down before they decide to take their child. That is kind of sad if you ask me. Have faith in your child that they will do their best no matter how many are there. Also, it is supposed to be about the kids and the fun they have and the memories you make with them. If that is your goal, you will do this if there is 10 or 100 going. - if they charge a big late fee then the one's that do enter late would not go. Then they would go way in the hole on there expenses. I agree some wait untill the last min for every pageant myself we just entered this week due to the fact work schedules changed and we were able to go so I for one am glad they excepted late entries. I think that is a disgrace. I have never asked a director for fees off, I enter photo contests and then guestbook entries, but then pay out, and I am paying out big bucks for this pageant, but it is a national, and I don't mind, I just don't understand how some moms get away with entering for next to nothing??

people are complaining about the price, but if it is worth it, I don't care. My dd is really looking forward to this one, and practices every day
