I think I've asked this before...
but since we were recently talking about angels on Catie's forum, I thought I would bring it up again.
Do you beleive in the apparitions of Mary? If you do, do you believe only in those that have been approved by the CC?
I don't believe in any of them, but I'm wondering if those of you who believe you might have been visited by angels (I don't remember if you said you beleive it or that it might have been an angel--don't want to get it wrong :) ), also beleive that Mary also visits people.
There's nothing "wrong" in believing in these visions, and I don't want to come across like I think they're silly. I just don't beleive in them. What about you?

The bible being my only source....I believe in angels appearing on earth. Paul said we "often" entertain them without being aware of it. (Paraphrased) God sends them to work on our behalf- it's noted throughout the bible, old and new testament. No, I don't believe the apparitions of Mary are real, or rather are her, because she was not "heavenly created" but born of flesh. All flesh dies and remains so until the resurrection. I believe, from scriptures, that Satan's co-horts can imitate the dead and thus fool some to believe they are seeing Mary or even uncle Joe. SO. That's my story and I'ma stickin' to it. :)

But what about the guys and the 3 tents. Am I getting it wrong, or were those 2 also born of flesh? Yet people saw them.
I don't believe in the apparitions of Mary. It's probably just that people really want to see her, so they do.
And then there are the inages of Jesus or Mary in toast and potato chips. rotfl

seem a little far fetched, don't you think...and statues that bleed or cry.
I feel sometimes the presence of my dad, protecting me. In life he was an Angel...so he is my Angel in death, and as Catie says...that's my story and I'm sticking to it. lol
I was always moved by the story of St. Bernadette. I recall as a child, seeing a movie about her and the visions she had...and it has always haunted me. I hope I've got my Saints right. Forgive me if I am mistaken.

Joan, I stated in an earlier post there are 3 who went directly to heaven, two of who were transfigured, by-passed death and went into heaven. Elijay and Enoch. Moses died, but it was before Christ, and Satan fought Michael for his body. God preserved him and took him to heaven. In many ways, Moses life symbolizes, and is somewhat of a metaphor for Christ. Thus God preserved him. To answer your question YES those were born flesh, but had been transfigured, raptured into heaven and are there to this day.

When you asked this question before I answered yes that I believe in the apparitions of Mary, approved by CC. That was then and today I would have to answer no. That leaves the question what did all these people see? Who did they really see?
In June of 2001, when my mom was told she had alzheimer's, I believed in the apparitions of Mary. I believed my mom would be cured. There are many places I could have taken my mom. I chose Lourdes in France. It was my first choice, and I also remember seeing the movie of St. Bernadette, who saw the apparitions at Lourdes. My high school is named
Lourdes, and I remember seeing the statue of Saint Bernadette in the school chapel,and also always hearing about the healing water of Lourdes. That is where I took my mom.
The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. In my heart I really felt that my mom would be cured. She wasn't and then I found out that there are very few who do get cured who go there. I don't know what to think anymore.
I do believe in angels I think I'ld faint if one ever visited me. As for Mary, I don't know what to think about her visiting people in this modern day and age.
