I did not like the book because 99% of it I read, or heard before while doing my research about the pope.

However, an interesting thing I did not know was when Pope John Paul II, met in jail with Mehmet Ali Agca. Agca was a professional assassin. The Pope's secretary, who was standing a few inches away from the Pope heard everything that was being said. The first thing Agca asked the Pope was "Why aren't you dead?" The fact that Agca aimed well, and the Pope was still alive stunned Agca.
He was more terrified by the fact that there were forces greater than him. He heard all the talk about the Lady of Fatima who saved the Pope. Agca called her "goddess of Fatima" and he was afraid since he tried to kill the Pope that this "powerful goddess" would avenge herself on him and try to kill him. The whole meeting with the Pope revolved around that"goddess of Fatima" Not once did Agca ask the Pope to forgive him. Acga, was just upset because he failed to kill the person he was contracted to kill.
