Subject: Hi I like what you are trying to do but....

I dont understand....When someone suggests a rule on"how much a director charges for badges",
you say "as long as it is int the paperwork, no hidden fees"!! Should'nt that pretty much go for everything?!!
You have a rules trying to make pageants better, such as..."No Fallback Dates" and "No Gymnastics, tumbling,
or leg lifted above the knee" etc.... Well if it is stated in the Paperwork then, people can choose to go or not too!!
I don't think that it should be banned completely!!! Fallbacks does not really hurt anyone...I have seen 8month old
beat a 2 & 3 year old that is walking, and doing "cutesy poses"!!! I don't think that Children should be counted off
for being coached (at any age), nor doing tumbling, ect. (as long as the paperwork states its ok)!! All long as the
child looks as if she is having fun and is poised, she should not be counted off!!

[> All pffp club is stating we don't want to get into what a director charges. Most of the moms on her have suggested the rules in the header and this is about what they want. -- Anonymous, 18:32:32 10/24/07 Wed [1]

[> The Thing is.....Most pageants do not have a very good turn out in the 0-11 or even the 0-23 months so they combine age groups,no different than fallbacks!! Would you rather win with just your DD in the group, or actually compete against others??!! (When I say "Compete" I mean showing "personality" since that is what is being judged, besides Facial features!!! -- Anonymous, 07:23:22 10/25/07 Thu [1]

[> [> [> This is true, I wont even consider putting my 8 month old up against a 14 month or up walker because it puts her at a disadvantage from the start. Lets face it they can do a lot more cutsie stuff when they are older. This is also true for a 3 year old competing against a 5 yr. old that falls back to 3-4 yr.. The 5 yr. old has much better modeling skills than a 3 yr. old. And if it doesn`t matter to some then why use the fallback except that your DD has a better chance if she is in with the smaller kids. Face it, you know thats why you use it. -- Anonymous, 07:02:40 11/01/07 Thu [1]

[> [> [> [> But even if you had the option of not using it someone in the higher age group may use it and your child will be at a disadvantage if its allowed then you should use it . Its almost like you accusing someone of doing something wrong . Anway this does not happen often but I was at a pageant and a baby that could not walk won the 0-3 grand supreme she won over some girls that had just turned 4 but made the fall back modleing didnt count in 0-3 but still it can be done and this baby has won alot of big titles like that . -- Anonymous, 10:05:11 11/01/07 Thu [1]

[> I dont like fallback cause, besides being stupid, alot of pageants dont tell everyone that there is a fallback. I went to one where all the kids my dds age fell back and the older girls fell into her age group. I was going to compete her at her true age but then she'd have been against 4 yr olds and she was 2! -- Anonymous, 19:27:19 11/01/07 Thu [1]

[> [> If there are no fallbacks then this wont happen no matter what the age. if you are 4 you are 4 and there is no reason for you to be 3 again. You have already been against the 2-3 year olds and it is time to move up just like it is time for the 5 yearolds to move up and no longer compete with the 3-4 year olds. No matter how you say it, it is not right to have fallbacks. -- Anonymous, 18:52:45 11/04/07 Sun [1]
