Subject: very neat

I am just reading your page and I think the club thing is awesome. I love the rules stated as those are my personal rules I go by when considering pageants. We dont compete much and I dont want to be screwed over. I do wonder, though, how, if you are, are you going to impact the bigger pageants, like Sunburst. I like competing at Sunburst but I hate some things about it, i.e. no score sheets and no real definition on glitz/natural. You have to look at the previous states to try and fgure out which way they are swinging every year.~thanks.

[> I dont know how the PFFPC will impact larger systems. It is up to the contestant to decide if the system doesnt meet every rule weather or not they wish to enter. I suppose the only impact will be if numbers for those systems drop because our members are choosing other pageants because they apply more of the rules we would like to see. -- Anonymous, 11:13:00 10/29/07 Mon [1]

[> Our objective is to see some of the smaller pageant that have all these rules get as big as sunburst because they are trying to have an honest pageant. -- Anonymous, 13:29:59 10/29/07 Mon [1]

[> [> Some of these larger pageants don't deserve the contestants they get. Most of the contestants don't know what they are getting into because the director won't tell them what they are looking for. Those directors are out for the money and not telling gets them more unsuspecting contestants. -- Anonymous, 13:33:10 10/29/07 Mon [1]

[> Yeah, see I like sunburst alot but last year, I began to become leary of them. They never give straight answers on what they are looking for. Glitz or natural, pageant kid or mall kid, nothing. Anyone could win BUT alot of times, it's the custom clothes that win. Last year, at nat'ls, they called the name of a kid that went home early and didn't do beauty but somehow she got top 10. Some said well she may have scored well in interview but since interview is only part of your score, she woulld have to have scored better in interview alone than most of the age group did in both together. Plus, they NEVER give scores. I have called and asked just for my dds score to be told to me over the phone. They could have lied to me but they wouldn't even tell me comments that were made. I dont like that but it's really the biggest one we do -- Anonymous, 20:43:37 10/29/07 Mon [1]

[> [> I agree with this. We did a pageant where the girl that got queen screamed and cried the whole time she was on stage and she kicked her mom on stage and had to be carried off still kicking and screaming. Nothing to score but very bad behavior so where did they get their scores. Dont get me wrong My DD didn`t do well but she did stand and smile I didnt expect that she would win but there were other beautiful girls there that should have won. There is something wrong with some of these systems that let things like this happen. And I wont be doing another Pageant in this system. -- Anonymous, 07:55:56 10/31/07 Wed [1]

[> The year we did "the biggest national" I wont name the pageant, but the rule was no makeup in interview. We wore none and the winner was fully painted up. STICK BY YOUR RULES! -- Anonymous, 09:15:03 10/31/07 Wed [1]
