The polite thing would be, if you are coaching your daughter, do so and then as soon as she is done with her routine, sit down or move to the back of the ballroom. I don't have problems usually with moms, but with the older pageant girls. If you are not up competing, please sit towards the back and get out of the way for those of us with little ones so that we can get up to the front and then get done and out of the way for the next mom.
